2009 PHOTO SHOOT
…is in the proverbial bag.
Nine days of shooting.Â
Thousands of clicks from the cameras.
Over 650 miles driven to get all the shots.
Two completely new lines of bikes.
Two sweet care packages from Twin Six and Rapha to get dressed up in.
One crazy pylon killing driver.
One A-Frame cabin complete with wood burning hot tub.
One replaceable Derailleur Hanger ripped off by a wayward branch.
One Tour de Fat.
And a bunch of mud equals a pretty good photo shoot.Â
Here’s a couple quick pictures. This year’s catalog is going to look sweet!

Great photos!
When do the 2009s come out?
Brian | August 15, 2008 10:48 am
Some, as early as September. Others, as late as January.

Cool–when can I expect the 2009 One Way?
Brian | August 18, 2008 12:52 pm
That one is showing up somewhere in the middle. You could be as lucky as Thanksgiving or look for it under your Tree. (this can, of course, change at ANY time)
Place an order soon though, they fly out the door pretty fast.

How about the 2009 Detour 6.5? Will any of the Detour line have front shocks?
Brian | August 19, 2008 8:26 am
The Detour line will be all rigid up front. To get front suspension on a 700c Hybrid, we’re introducing the Route line of bikes.

Dear Raleigh:
I’m looking to get a Venture 4.0 but it doesn’t look like I can get a 2008 model any more but I can’t yet see the 2009 model colors on your web site either.
Why aren’t the 2009s on your web site so I can “see” my options and decide?
Thanks,
Red Aylward

Hey Red,
We’re in the process of updating the website as I type this. Look back real soon…we’re almost done.

You guys really should sell direct. I have two Raleigh dealers within 10 miles of my house and they both do not push your brand and I don’t care for the people that work there. Just a thought….

Raymond | September 1, 2008 1:24 pm
what are the differences between 2007 and 2008 supercourse?

The new steel Raleighs look awesome. I saw the steel mountainbike frames at my local shop this year and smiled. Then I looked at the brochure and saw some even cooler steel road frames.
I still got my ’68 Raleigh International with Nervex lugs. It’s nice to know ya’all ain’t forgot steel.
