THIS WAY…(PART II)
The continuing adventures of Adrian Ortiz and being fixed…
Ok, so I have had a chance to ride to work a couple of times and there is quite the learning curve. For one, how do you stop the constant rotation of peddles while trying to flip them so my shoe will slide in? I thought of switching to my clip-ins but, that just doesn’t seem right.
One my first ride I found myself balancing on the seat with my feet out to the side while in motion with both peddles in free rotation.
Here it comes, there it goes, try the other foot in, there it goes, ok I got it this, shit there it goes.
How did I get going so fast?
Thank Gatto that there is a pair of brakes on the One Way.
I figured it out eventually. Slow down for lights and just don’t get out of the pedals.
Adrian Ortiz is self described as 36 years old, bald, bearded and bellied. I’m the Sales and Marketing Manager for San Diego CityBeat and enjoy wearing flip flops, riding my bike and drinking a good amber ale, ok more than one. He is also training to ride from Portland Or. to San Diego Ca. with my freckled wife and buddy Jamie.
