I recieve calls and emails almost daily from people who are attempting to ride across the country.  Some are for charity, others for personal reasons, some are just looking for free bikes. 

Last year Pearson contacted me and told me his story of being hit by a car, left on the side of the road seriously injured, his road to recovery and his idea about riding across the US to promote bicycle safety and awareness. 

Peason has since completed his trip, but his journey continues.  I still recieve emails and calls from him as he is actively speaking and encouraging better road sharing and awareness.
