HILIFE
{What’ll your HiLife look like?}
What do you do when you get done with your first round? That first one was a lot of fun and it feels like one more would keep the good times rolling. So it becomes time for one more…
SSCX may be a niche segment in the Cyclocross world, but it’s one we throughly enjoy. Last year we quietly rolled out the Rainier SSCX framesets. It quickly became an undergound and muddy success. So this year we decided that we should do one more of these limited edition SSCX framesets. It is a pure SSCX race bike with everything you need and nothing you don’t. The geometry and frame are the same as our current RX 1.0, but it comes with a standard BB instead of the BB30. It has a cable stop for the Rear Brake….and nothing else. It DOES NOT have water bottle bosses or rack mounts.
It comes with an EC90X fork and FSA cross headset. Rear Spacing is 132.5 to accomodate both Road and Mountain Hubs.
The only way to get one of these limited edition framesets is to go to your nearest autorized Raleigh Dealer and place your order now.

wish raleigh would make the rx1.0 available as a frameset. or available at all. can’t find a lbs that has one. sell online!

Dammit I want this so bad.
xChokex | November 17, 2009 1:57 pm
I wish they could make one of these that isn’t alcohol-themed.

So, is it an Aluminum frame like the RX 1.0? Looks like an “Atomic” sticker in your first photo, so I guess so. I didn’t realize you could do a 132.5 spacing with aluminum - thought that was for steel only, which could flex to accommodate different rear hubs?
Looks sweet, by the way!

Why don’t you make a RX1.0 that looks this good? The black and green thing is not working for me.

I got mine the other day. This bike is sweet. I am still building it up and it will be a work in progress, but I can not wait to race it this weekend.

Wow - bike looks great.

beautiful bike… really, I would like to buy one - and would pay too-much for it. Unfortunately, it is SOOO limited and sooo hard to find, and the three dealers I contacted are clueless about when or if they will have them - that my interest in getting one has fallen to zero. Wiith such an unnecessarily difficult process just to buy a bike — I’m turned off from Raleigh bikes all together.
I can get a bike shipped directly from Taiwan more easily than I can get a “made in america” bike. Very dissapointed.

I’ve been on mine for about three weeks now. Such a sweet bike. Gets double-takes everywhere I take it. Even the guys riding full carbon frames and Zipp 404s and Di2/SRAM Red are gushing over it. Great job, Raleigh!

Wow! Looks like I have a little thinking to do….such a cool CX bike!

[…] up the Raleigh single speed cyclocross frame I purchased last year. Seems like it would be a dandy production model, but that’s just me I guess. The build definitely added a new set of skills to the life […]

I’ve raced my Rx 1.0 for the last 2 seasons of Oregon’s Cross Crusade and love it. I too would love to see it sold as a frameset or I’m gonna go with a Fuji or Kona because they do.
With respect to the alcohol themes, I’m gonna have to agree that it would be cool to see a departure from that. Of course the frames are gorgeous (Rainier, PBR & this HiLife) but I worry in the long run as many of us spend our time mentoring youth into ‘cross.
Btw, I love the components on this particular bike

I have a Rainier, and it is great. love the ride. The only thing I would change is to have more tire clearance. Being able to run a 40mm tire would be great for gravel/multi-terrain rides, and what cyclo-crosser would argue with more mud clearance?
As for the “beer” themed schemes, who would know that it is based on a Miller font or Ranier font unless you told them? If you already drink beer, you might guess, but really, almost no one that sees mine has a clue. They just think it looks hot.
Make a steel one sometime too. That would be even better!

I love it!
