RECYCLED CYCLES RACING
One of the most valuable resources available to any bike manufacturer is a local dealer that supports its product line through both retail sales and promotional activities. Founded in 1994, Seattle’s Recycled Cycles is one of Raleigh’s top local dealers. Recycled Cycles is a bike aficionado’s dream, renowned for its vast collection of new, used and collectible bikes, frames and parts.
The Recycled Cycled Racing Team is one of the region’s most unique and active clubs with over 40 members racing in various disciplines of road, track, mountain and cyclocross. Raleigh America has been the bike sponsor of the Recycled Racing team for the past 5 seasons and through the association gains not only product exposure at a regional and national level but also garners valuable product feedback used in developing and the refining of our bicycle designs.
The team currently races on our 2008 Team and Prestige bikes, which riders appreciate for their unique combination of light weight, stiffness, and comfort. As one rider describes his Team bike: “combine these attributes and you get a bike that carries its speed quite impressively. Around turns it seems to meld with the ground. While on the climbs it tends to just let go and roll. When you stand up it doesn’t feel like you’re mashing, it feels like every stroke goes 100% to the wheels, and there’s no side to side movement”.
