* Required Fields

The Clubman Alloy. It's cool. Retro. Responsive. Lightweight. Now, that's the right Club to be a part of. Appreciate the classic rando styling in a road bike that can do it all from commuting to base miles to riding rougher roads. The Clubman alloy is a Raleigh heritage bike made for long road miles on any kind of pavement in all conditions. Complete with endurance frame geometry and tapered head tube plus front and rear Thru axles, and Shimano Sora 18-speed STI Shifters, this ultimate commuter bike is lighter than steel and comes with fenders and mechanical disc brakes for great stopping power in all weather conditions.

Excellent All Around Bicycle

Review by VonDragon
Overall Quality

I recently purchased the Clubman Alloy (56cm) to commute and tour on. As with all new bikes I have replaced the saddle with a Serfas Dorado saddle and added Crank Brothers Candy 2 pedals.

My commute home from work is 26 miles, riding street, bike paths and 9 miles of small gravel dirt paths. (I commute into work by train in the early hours of the morning)

The Clubman handles quick like my 1980's Colango, yet rides so smooth, as that of a touring bike!
I added a rear rack and I carry 27lbs of gear on my commute; handling is still responsive and agile. I have ridden 1300 miles on this bike in 3 months including one century and many rides over 50 miles.
The fenders are thin and light and keep water and dirt off of my backside and out of my eyes. The tires are over sized 28mm and I have already needed to replace the rear tire with a 32mm Continental Touring Plus tire. This tire is smaller in width and height, than the original 28mm and the new tire fits well within the fenders.
Disk brakes were a primary upgrade that I wanted in a new bicycle and I am very pleased with the performance of these disk brakes, the brakes bring my loaded Clubman to a quick stop when needed.
I assembled and tuned the Clubman myself and there were several tasks that required a higher level of technical knowledge to correctly set the bicycle up safely. I would recommend having a dealer set up the bicycle, if you only have a basic knowledge of mechanical abilities.

This bicycle feels like it was built just for me!!
I am very happy with the bike and recommend the Clubman to anyone who wants a relaxed quick steering and smooth handling bicycle that performs excellent as an all around work horse!

Smooth ride, good looks

I ended up with the alloy model because the steel was backordered. I was afraid the alloy would be a harsh ride, but it's actually quite smooth, even on poor roads.
Mine is a 58 cm and weighs about 24 lbs with my Brooks saddle and Wellgo campus pedals. That's a bit heavy even considering the fenders, but not terrible.
Front shifter is a little clunky, but it works. Rear is great. Brakes aren't as strong as I'd hoped, but should get stronger as they wear in. I don't like the ergo handlebars, but that's more about preference.

Overall, this is a beautiful, practical bike.
