Kodiak 2

Want to try a full suspension bike without spending your life savings the Kodiak 2 is a solid mid-level mountain bike with the latest 27.5 plus tires for more traction on the trail, better handling, and the ability to roll over just about anything in cushy comfort. It's simple, good quality, reliable, looks good and rides great! built with a tried and true alloy plus frame design with tapered head tube, an air shock, and both front and rear thru axles, the Kodiak 2 is super responsive on the trails. The new SRAM NX 1×11 drivetrain with 11-42 wide range cassette and narrow-wide CNC offers a great gear ratio to get up and down in a lighter weight package. Hydraulic disc brakes provide the ultimate stopping power in all weather conditions. The dual suspension makes it cushier and more forgiving than a hardtail and the extra big Weinmann U50, 27.5" plus rims and Kenda havoc 27.5×2.8″ tires add even more volume for a great overall suspension feel.

Great bike

The bike is a great overall value. The shocks are very nice, but don't lockout. Not really an issue as on only ride trails. I swapped out the fron ring in my 2x10 to a 1x10 in the last years version and I like the added change in his model. The bike weights in line of all my buddies FS bikes, but might be a bit on the heave if you are from a hard tail. Overall the frame is solid but I feel it could have some more forward geometry as I have a hard time keeping the front wheel down on hard climbs. I ride this bike hard twice a week on our best trails and jumps and enjoy it very much.

Best Full Suspension Mountain Bike for the money!

I ordered my 2017 Kodiak 2 early in July and took delivery a week later. It was easy to assemble with the tools provided, but you'll need scissors or a utility knife to separate the packaging from the bike.
The pictures on the website do not do this bike justice. Initial quality is up there with the best of them. Another thing they don't mention is that this bike comes dropper post ready.
On the trails, the bike handles very well: roots and rocks are not an issue although tires can get slippy in mud. The 1 X 11 transmission is smooth and has lots of gears to make climbs easier; I will be changing the 30t chainring to a 34t just because it works better for my legs. Highly Recommend it!

Stop thinking about it and buy it

You get a lot of bike for the money with this one. The suspension is quality and the gearing is perfect. I've had mine for about half a year, and with regular use it's been perfect mechanically. Definitely recommend.

Received the bike and was easily assembled. After I added some air to the tires, hit the trails and enjoyed the full suspension. Great price for a full suspension bike of this quality. Only recommendation is to upgrade the seat. The gears changed smoothly and was noticeably more efficient going uphill than my previous bike. Absolutely recommend.
