Whether commuting to work, hitting the pub, or pedaling home from a late night show, city streets present certain challenges. And that's half the fun. There is no such thing as a predictable surface when it comes to riding in the city. You encounter countless obstacles to tackle from potholes and manhole covers to train tracks, curbs, grates and everything in between. What bike could possibly handle it all?
The Raleigh Redux 3. It's smooth rolling on rough streets with a clutch rear derailleur to reduce chain slap and keep you focused on the next obstacle. Like a mountain bike made for the city, this best-selling bike is the ultimate multiuse machine. Plus, it's fast and clean.
Designed with a lightweight frame and integrated aluminum fork, the higher-end Redux 3 is light enough to lift up steep stairs to an apartment but durable enough for hardcore city use. Featuring forged 2-piece alloy cranks with sealed external BB and 40t ring, a single cog up front, a Shimano Deore 10 speed drive train and hydraulic disc brakes, this bike is smooth shifting and low maintenance with the serious braking power for wet and dirty conditions. Big Ben balloon tires roll over almost anything in their path. Clean lines, bold block colors, minimal logos and overall good looks also make the Redux 3 the top pick.

Fantastic Bang-for-BuckReview by Michael
The bike straight-up just looks amazing. I'm smitten. Looks very different than anything else I've seen flying in the street around my city. The construction feels solid, I took it to some minor MTB trails and despite being bounced around pretty well on the rigid frame, it felt solid. The brakes are wonderful. I can't say enough about hydro disc brakes. You have to tweak the front caliper position a little bit once you've put it through its paces and settled it, but I imagine that 's most new bikes. I'm fairly happy with the gearing (you always want more when it comes to speed) but I did have one isolated even where the chain came off the crank when I was downshifting on a minor hill. Not sure what caused it but I may have just down shifted too quickly. The I wouldn't call the Deore groupset buttery smooth, but it is reactive and reliable. I recommend this bike to anyone that isn't in the roanoke area (don 't copy me)(Posted on 11/7/2017)
Making trips around town look trendy!Review by KevCentralOverall Quality
I purchased this bike more out of curiosity than anything. The matte gray frame finish paired to a bright orange fork caught my eye. When I unboxed it I was delighted with the build quality and appearance. It looks great in pictures, but in person it is simply stunning. Considering the affordable price - the bike is fitted with some decent components. The disc brakes are hydraulic and easily stop with minimal pressure, the rear Shimano Deore derailleur is paired with 10-speeds to provide a perfect range of shifting needs for both the flat areas in my city and easy peddling when i'm climbing the large hills that surround my home. I really like the choice of Schwalbe Big Ben tires, because they provide great traction on city streets, and they give me confidence while I rough it up a bit as I push the bike to earn it's 'Urban Assault Bike' moniker. If you're a hipster, this bike is also a great eye catcher. Our local downtown area has been gentrified and it now contains a plethora of trendy hipster shops. When i'm downtown with this bike I constantly get compliments and inquiries. It turns heads along with being fun to ride! Great job, Raleigh!(Posted on 9/22/2017)
