The Class 3 Redux iE gets things done. Built on a sleek aluminum frame with internal cable routing, this e-bike is powered by a Bosch Performance Line Speed motor and a semi-integrated 500Wh battery. The new Bosch Kiox on-board computer provides ride data at your fingertips via a handlebar remote and easy-to-read color display.

The Kiox is compatible with Bluetooth heart-rate monitors. A 10-speed Shimano drivetrain fine-tunes your pedaling, while Tektro hydraulic disc brakes keep your speed under control. Wide tires on 27.5-inch wheels take the sting out of rough pavement. With built-in lights, an integrated rack, and fenders, the Redux iE lets you cut through city traffic with ease and confidence. Available in step over and step through styles.

I have the 2018 Brose edition and I LOVE it

Overall Quality

Hi, I have the 2018 version with a Brose motor and have 1500 miles on it at the end of 2019. I own another hub drive bike Diamondback Lindau with 4000 miles and I love both bikes. However, the Brose based Redux is my go to bike 90% of the time. There are so many great things about this bike. I have ridden many different e-bikes and this has it all, smooth ride (I added a suspension seatpost), great handling, quiet, and the most natural feeling e-bike I have ever ridden.

Great new version of the 2018

Review by Patrick Bodnar
Overall Quality

I own the 2018 (Brose engine) version of this bike.

I fully trust the Bosch edition and battery of this bike so I'll leave my 2018 review of this bike here as I trust this new version to be just as good but just a bit noisier. The water issue is surely resolved as this new version includes the Bosch in frame battery. This also has the advantage of being easely replaced when it wears out after its normal life.

Here's my 2018 review :

Ok. I've ridden 2000 miles on my Redux and I'm ready to talk about it. I'll start with the good and end with the less good.

- the Brose engine is a beast of tork and it's 3 levels of help are well calibrated. So is the walk mode. It the most silent there is.
- the combination of wheel size and tires (super moto-x) is perfect tor fast acceleration and pothole protection. At these speeds the traffic and walkers are the priority. Potholes come last and the fact that these wheels and tires absorb all is very securing. I'm able to jump of and on sidewalk. In times of need and this also is very helpful considering the bad driving in my city.
- brakes pads are metallic and have only now to be changed. That is quite impressive considering my weight and the stuff I carry.
- the rack is very solid
- I've had to change the chain and cassette after 2000 miles which is normal.
- the derailleur is strong and never misses.
- I've ridden this bike all winter long with Ice Spiker Pro tires and nothing could stop me, and I was going to work even in snow storms. Great on ice, less on brown sugar type snow.

- the bracket for the front ligbt is a weak cast part and had to be replaced as it broke when hit. It should bend but this cast does not bend.
- the battery does a great job getting you there but is water fragile. Some water had gotten into the battery case and it was exchanged by the company in there 2 year comprehensive warranty. I've now put electrical tape over le spots where water can get in and I've had no issues anymore. This should not be the case with the 2019 Bosch edition of this urban assault bike.

This bike is a winner. Don't hesitate.

I've had 4 electric bike and tested over 20. I know my stuff.
