This entry-level mountain bike will keep your adventure going when you decide it's time to head off road and explore the path less travelled.

Review of 2017 Raleigh Talus 3

Review by Turismo4GT
Overall Quality

I bought this bike from a local Raleigh dealer. It's my second Raleigh bike, the first being a 1999 Raleigh Predator, which served me faithfully for several years. getting into this bike, even though it's an entry level model, was a revelation. So much has changed in terms of the geometry, aluminium frame vs. the older bike's steel frame, handlebar width, overall weight. Not to mention the disc brakes. My first experience with them almost ended up with me going OTB, they're much more powerful than the cantilever rim brakes on the older bike. I've had the bike for just over a month now, and barring any future issues, it has performed almost flawlessly except for a slightly noisy (and admittedly basic) suspension fork. I'm looking forward to many more years of fun on this bike.
