The Raleigh Tokul 2 loves to play in rooty, rocky trails and take you through lines you never thought possible. With slightly relaxed geometry, the Tokul 2 offers a forgiving ride that helps you build skills and progress to more difficult trails. A simple 1x9 Shimano drivetrain and powerful hydraulic disc brakes keep you rolling over tough terrain.
The Weinmann U28 27.5” wheels and Kenda Honey Badger 27.5x2.2” tires provide plenty of grip. If you prefer the efficiency and low maintenance of a hardtail bike without rear suspension, you’ll find a good balance of stability and quick handling in the Tokul 2.

Awesome all around trail mountain bikeReview by RobOverall Quality
This bike is fantastic! It can handle all the various terrains I ride in my area from fire roads, roots, and single tracks galore! For those that want a do all MTB with out breaking the bank this is the bike! At first I was concerned that I would have a rough ride as it is a hard tail but I can assure you that the plus tires that come with this rig absolutely provide enough cushion to smooth out most terrain.(Posted on 10/26/2017)
GREAT BIKE!!!!Review by Dirt merchantOverall Quality
i was looking for a bike for well over a year and i saw Skills with Phils video on youtube about it so i looked it up. the 3 was a little outside my pricepoint, but the 2 is perfect. the 1x drivetrain and the 120 mm fork with lock and preload adjust are perfect for where i live. i ride a lot of jumps and this bike has not broken once. Great Bike, and great for shredding evrything! Thank you Raleigh!!!!(Posted on 10/22/2017)
Best Budget Hardtail on the marketReview by ClayOverall Quality
Quality bike for the price. The suntour XCR coil fork gets a bad reputation from hardcore bike enthusiasts, but I have found it to be a substantial improvement over the XCT on my previous bike. The 1x9 drive train should be plenty good enough for the trails that I ride and the simplicity is great. I plan to add a dropper seatpost to the tolkul as soon as I can. One of the biggest components of my search for a new bike was trying to get a 1x drive train on a budget end hardtail. The tolkul 2 is one of the only 1x's that I could find for under $900. Combined with hydraulic breaks, a 120mm fork, and a trail specific geometry and there was really no other option for the price. Delivery was incredibly quick, and free, and the assembly is a cake walk for anyone with a bicycle background.
Overall I cannot say enough good things about the tolkul 2. For the same price as my previous bike (Specialized Pitch) it has a better fork, a 1x9, and hydraulic breaks. Raleigh succeeds at producing quality entry level mountain bikes that can compete, and exceed, those of the large bike brands.

Happy Trails!Review by DamnYankeeOverall Quality
Actually, I'm a happy trail rider now. I did quite a bit of research on entry level bikes (I'm a beginner) before purchasing. The review of the Tokul 3 by Seth's bike hacks on Youtube is how I found out about this series. I figured if the Tokul 3 could take what Seth threw at it then the Tokul 2 would be more than enough for me. I have been very impressed with it so far. So much so that I purchased a Tokul 1 for my wife. She's more of a rail trail & greenway rider so the Tokul 1 made more sense from a financial standpoint. The quality of this bike and what it offers component wise over the competition in this price range is unrivaled. Get you one before they are gone for good. The Tokul's are no more after 2017.(Posted on 7/19/2017)
Amazing BikeReview by ColeOverall Quality
I got my Tokul 2 several months ago. I have been putting it through the ringer, riding some rough, rocky and rooty trails as well as some faster, flowy trails. It performs like a dream in both instances. I've even wiped out pretty hard a few times and the bike had no issues whatsoever minus a slightly bent derailleur hanger on one occasion. The aggressive frame geometry and shorter stem, as well as wider handlebars make fast downhill sections super manageable and I have no problems climbing some of the steeper, more technical sections with the 1x9 drivetrain. If you want a hardtail that is reliable, sturdy, and can manage some pretty rough singletrack then definitely get one of the Tokul series bikes.(Posted on 7/18/2017)
Good Quality partsReview by AlOverall Quality
I got a deal on a complete bike and I was pleasantly surprised at the good quality of the house parts: Saddle, stem, bars, grips. Also the Suntour Coil fork was surprisingly good! 32mm stanchions,120mm travel. rebound adjust. Thru axle. The suspension felt like air! I wish it came with Plus Tires! The only thing Ive replaced were the square taper cranks and bottom bracket. I went with NX cranks and a ceramic GXP BB.(Also of note, It came with a narrow wide chainring). And I also put a dropper post on it. The Alivio 9 speed 11-36 is fine for the trails Im mostly going ride on but the shifting was very finicky and required alot of initial adjusting .(Posted on 7/12/2017)
great bikeReview by dmonoidOverall Quality
I purchased this bike back in February. It has been reliable on the trails and on the road. Would definitely recommend to any entry level biker. It's not very expensive compared to other hardtails.(Posted on 7/8/2017)
Nearly PerfectReview by BenOverall Quality
Finding a bike that is economically priced while still having a good frame and components is tough, but I felt that the Tokul is one of the few bikes in this price range that gets it right. The fork is very smooth and surprisingly tunable with preload and rebound adjustments, and of course the lockout saves you on long climbs. The 1x drivetrain should not deter you, the 9 speed cassette gives plenty of gear range and shifts very quickly and smoothly. The ergonomics of the bike, with wide handlebars and aggressive head tube angle, make it a really nimble machine, which is surprisingly light and easy to maneuver on climbs, but rules downhill parts of the trail just as easily.
The only thing I was disappointed about on the bike were the tires. Due to the compound and shape, they are VERY skitterish in any hard pack or loose dirt, and as a result the front wheel had a nasty tendency of sliding out unexpectedly in corners . After replacing both tires with a set of Maxxis tires, all sliding problems are gone and the bike corners very well.
Overall, the quality of this bike and its components is an incredible deal for the money. It is perfect for nearly any intermediate rider, and because of the quality of the frame, can be made into a beginner race bike with some customization of components.(Posted on 6/23/2017)

This bike is awesome. It hasn't given me any mechanical problems in a year (I have the 2016). The geometry is super good and for the price it is amazing. It is probably my favorite bike I've ever had, well done Raleigh(Posted on 5/8/2017)
